Ignite Social Impact Welcomes Dr. Kolaleh Eskandanian as Treasurer

Ignite Social Impact (“Ignite”) is honored to welcome Kolaleh Eskandanian, Ph.D., MBA, PMP, Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at Children’s National Hospital, as Treasurer. Through Ignite, accredited and non-accredited investors — wealthy or not — can invest as little as $100 in Regulation Crowdfunding (Title III) offerings from private US-based companies, committed to delivering positive social and environmental impact.

Dr. Eskandanian is a pragmatic innovator, who brings a unique set of skills that will help drive Ignite’s mission to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through investing in impact. A mechanical engineer by background, she started her career in the telecommunications and high-tech sector. Her own innovations have been in the market for decades and used by millions. Dr. Eskandanian is the lead inventor of the first-ever web-based adverse event reporting system, deployed in clinical trials settings, and has held leadership roles in the development of the first consumer web-based trouble entry management system in the telecommunications sector. In addition to having deep experience in the full range of product development activities, Dr. Eskandanian is a visionary in innovation and social impact, working with a large network of small and large businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to address the unmet needs of children. Dr. Eskandanian said, “I’m excited to serve as Treasurer for this first-of-a-kind platform that hosts social impact companies, allowing them to raise much-needed capital.”

Rosemarie Truman, Co-Founder, and CEO of Ignite, said, “Our team is energized to have Dr. Eskandanian on board. She is the consummate community builder and a brilliant architect of innovation platforms. She will be a pillar of the democratization of impact investing.”
