Social Entrepreneur and Philanthropist — Neil St. Clair — to Advise Ignite Social Impact

Ignite Social Impact (“Ignite”) has a mission to democratize impact investing in Tech-for-Good with crowdfunding. Ignite has the honor of announcing Neil St. Clair as a member of its Advisory Board. As an entrepreneur, journalist, investor, and philanthropist, Neil is a “polymath with purpose,” whose raison d’être is to remove fear from everyday life. Neil will engage his network on behalf of Ignite to overcome fear and cultivate trust in investing in tech companies focused on social impact through the Ignite platform. Ignite enables anyone to invest in private US-based companies like a venture capitalist.

Neil has experience working with single-family offices and founder-led businesses to help them develop and scale social impact ventures. Mr. St. Clair currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of NES Impact, a social impact-focused management consultancy. Through his firm, Neil has worked with a variety of founders on their impact projects, including efforts in child sexual abuse prevention and in the creation of the social network for social impact, Humanified. He is also a Venture Partner at Amplio Ventures, a “future of work” VC fund with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion technology. Prior to NES Impact and Amplio Ventures, Mr. St. Clair was President of Karma Impact and Senior Vice President of Timeless Media; he also serves on various boards and was CEO and Founding Correspondent of AlleyWire, a New York-based digital video news agency.

Mr. St. Clair said, “Ignite has a platform that effectively measures the social impact of impact investing on a short-term and long-term basis. Those of us in the impact world have been searching for models like Ignite’s to do our investment diligence. I look forward to working with Ignite to leverage these innovations on a global scale.”

Rosemarie Truman, Co-Founder, and CEO of Ignite noted, “Neil St. Clair is a trailblazer in the social impact arena. At the center of a burgeoning social impact social network, Neil is uniquely positioned to mobilize impact investors — accredited and non-accredited — to support social entrepreneurs as they address United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through the Ignite platform.”
